Cubism

Student could choose what medium they wanted to use for this cubist inspired drawing.

7th grade 

Radial Mondala

These are just a couple of the amazing mandalas my 7th grade students created! The theme has to do with nature. They use colored pencil for the project.

Pop art portraits

Here are some fun portraits my high school students made in a color and design class. We hung these in a student art show at a local gallery.

8th grade Puppets

My 8th grade Sculpture class created these marionette puppets. I love these! They are all paper mache, wire and string, painted with acrylic paint. Its really fun to see them in action, all of my students wanted to take them home the second they were done with the project.

Pop Art Roy Lichtenstein inspired

My 8th grade students did these Roy Lichtenstein inspired paintings on canvas boards. They had a lots of fun. Some of the requirements included: must have an animal, must paint dots in some part of the picture, must create a comic style with an onomonopia.

My students had a ball with this project! Lots of great ideas, some quite interesting.  I think the hardest part was keeping the magazines stalked for all of my classes! 

Op Art

I did this op art project with both my 7th and 6th grade classes. I have to say it was much more successful in my 7th grades classes. My 6th graders got a bit bored with the project.

First blog ever... Trying to get some of the amazing things out for all to see, not only art I have been working on but my students as well! I hope to share lesson plans and examples from my classroom. Also hope to inspire others! Enjoy
